The Premiere Ajaccio Bridle is a leather bridle in shetland size, with an anatomically shaped headpiece and soft padding on the headpiece and noseband. It is made for the smallest heads and suits pony clubs, riding lessons and leisure riding. Available in black in Shetland and in black/white in Mini Shetland. Reins not included.
About this bridle
Finding a properly fitting bridle for a mini shetland or a shetland is far from straightforward. Many models only start at pony size, which leaves the straps too long and the bridle never quite sitting right on a small head. The Ajaccio is built for exactly that.
The headpiece is anatomically shaped. It runs wider over the poll and follows the shape behind the ears, so the weight of the bridle is carried across a larger surface. Headpiece and noseband both have soft padding, which keeps the leather off the skin at the points where the bridle rests most firmly.
The leather is good quality: supple, neatly finished and with the usual adjustment on cheekpieces, throatlash and noseband, so you can really set the bridle up to your pony's head. Subtle decorative details make the whole thing look a little more polished than a basic bridle, without ever becoming busy.
The black/white version brings a lighter accent and a more playful look, which often goes down well with young riders. The black version stays classic. Both work equally well for lessons and for a pony competition, and can be used for dressage, jumping and simply having fun outdoors.
