bought this for my first *real* camping trip (canoe in to a remote site) despite trying to pack light, and it was well worth the space it took up (not that it's big or heavy, but every spot counts when you have to carry everything on your back). very easy to install. we were a bit nervous at first about it falling but it didn't budge at all even

Lots of room, it can definitely fit two people. If you're mostly going to be using it alone and you prefer to lie down parallel, I'd recommend a single person hammock as this one engulfs you. But if you like to sit perpendicular, this has enough fabric to keep your legs and back supported while you look out at the view!
