I usually use it when I go for vacation to hilly or wet areas. As I don't want to carry 2 pair of shoes, I usually wear these while riding my motorbike too. These pair have been comfortable for me till now and have done quite well in some hikes. I would recommend buying these for those light hikers too. The product also provides the value for money

I purchased the shoes just before trekking and it provided enough grip in my whole trek along with good ankle support. It was waterproof for about 2 hours after which the waterproof ability decreased a bit but overall very good
